I drove for UBER for two
years. The pay was not great. I guess
most jobs that don’t require high levels of skill or education don’t provide workers
great pay and great benefits. That is the American way. The United States has a history of chattel
slavery, indentured servitude, child labor, and a distain for employees demanding
better wages and benefits.
The CEO of UBER wants independent
workers to have a stronger safety net. Millions of other Americans need a stronger
safety net. Maybe CEO’s and the super rich will demand legislators tax them so
low wage workers will have more protections and benefits.
